Higher Math - Golden Ale Brewed with Chocolate and Sour Cherries (17% abv)
Dogfish Head Brewing (Milton, DE)

Higher Math pours an cloudy, tawny color with zero head. There is definitely no hiding the booze in this beer. It smells more like a port or madeira than a beer. Besides the booze there is plenty of grape skin, cherry, and vanilla in the aroma. The flavor is unlike anything I’ve tasted before. It’s a combination of sour cherry, mead, chocolate, with Belgian yeast esters and significantly boozy finish. Honestly not sure where they were going with this one and it’s not bad…but there was also no way I could drink the whole thing myself so I dumped half. I would honestly skip this one, Dogfish Head has so many other amazing beers worth trying first.

76/100
