Duet - India Pale Ale (7.0% abv)
Alpine Beer Company (San Diego, CA)

As soon as you pour Duet into a glass you notice that classic West Coast IPA aroma. Tons of citrus and pine upfront from the hops with some pear in the background (possibly from the malts used). This IPA almost drinks like a Double IPA with how viscous and heavy the body is. It leaves a coating of bitter, pine hop resin in your mouth after each sip letting you know they did not skimp on the hops in here. Definitely a more aggressive beer than the more subtle (Vermont style) IPAs I have been drinking as of late. Overall a well made West Coast IPA, just be sure when you buy this you are looking for a serious beer to drink.
