Bosun's Call - Brett Saison (5.6% abv)

Rising Tide Brewery (Portland, ME)

In collaboration with Proclamation Ale Company

This ale pours a slightly hazy straw yellow white a bright white head. The smell is acidic, and slightly funky like white wine that might have gone bad...but in a good way (if that makes any sense). Very effervescent with a light body. It tastes lemony and slightly grassy with a funky tartness to it. It reminds me of when I used to chew on dandelion stems as a kid. The finish is very dry and your mouth tingles long after the sip from all the bubbles.

A very interesting collaboration beer, and I'm really glad I got to try this (a big thanks to the Thayer's for bringing this back for me). Certainly not your everyday beer but delicious and intriguing none the less.

89/100
