Happy New Year everyone and welcome to the first post of 2015!

Wormtown Norm. American Stout. Wormtown Brewing Company Worcester, MA 6.8% ABV.

Served chilled from a 22 oz bomber and poured into a snifter. Pours a black color with a one finger tan foam head. Smells are of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, and coconut. Carbonation is moderate to light with a medium body. Taste is sweet and roasty, with hints of the coconut and cocoa nibs. The roasted malts really are present, and there is not much bitterness here. The alcohol content is a healthy 6.8%, and this truly drinks like a regular oatmeal stout rather than an imperial. Overall not a bad way to start off 2015.

92/100
$7.99/22 oz bomber
