Wormtown Mass Whole

Wormtown MassWhole Hefeweizen. Worcester, MA. 4.9% ABV.

Served chilled from a 22 oz bomber and poured into a pilsner glass. Pours a huge four finger white foam head. The color is hazy and golden, and smells of wheat, coriander, orange peel and other spices. (Smells like a traditional Belgian white). The carbonation is pretty high with a medium to light body. The taste has a lot of spices with hints of orange. You also get a lot of wheat. Aftertaste is mostly spices that go away quickly.

Usually when I sample my beers, I try to have no food on the palate in order to experience all of the flavors. Since hefeweizens aren't my favorite (though I love Wormtown) I had a nice steak with this one, which paired tremendously. This was a pretty decent beer, but I probably won't buy again.

81/100
