Stone Reason Be Damned. Belgian Abbey Ale aged in Red White Barrels. Stone Brewing Company Escondido, CA. 8.2% ABV.
Served on tap at Draught 55 in a goblet. Pours a murky reddish color with practically no head. Smells are of red wine, acidity and yeast. Carbonation is moderately light with a medium body. Taste is of sweet fruits, red wine, and is quite acidic/vinegary. There are tons of fruits in here, and make it difficult to distinguish any from each other. Very yeasty, which is reflective of the Belgian style. Aftertaste is tart and bitter.
Overall a nice beer from Stone. I have never seen this in bottles so I was sure to order it immediately. If you find it on tap, try it out. Definitely unlike anything I have had before.
