I figured I would go back and feature another Boston beer that I was able to purchase in Manhattan. Harpoon put out a Citra hop styled American Pale Ale this year and hit a home run. Though not everyone in the beer community has gone nuts about it, I found it to be extremely drinkable and fresh.
The beer poured a nice amber color with a one finger white head. The smells are heavy on the citra hop (my favorite) as well as grapefruit. The carbonation is on the lighter side with a strong grapefruit aftertaste.
This beer is almost like a session style-IPA. It is incredibly drinkable and the citra hop and grapefruit shine through. A definite try while it's available.
