Elysian Night Owl Pumpkin Ale. Elysian Brewing Company. Seattle, Washington. Pumpkin Ale. 5.9% ABV.

Pours a reddish brown color with a one finger white foam head. Smells are of  pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Carbonation is moderate with a medium body. Taste is of pumpkin, and many spices: Cinnamon, allspice, and brown sugar. This beer leaves a slight pumpkin aftertaste, though fades to nothing.

This is an outstanding pumpkin beer, and it is clear they use high quality ingredients. They use over 150 pounds of pumpkin meat in every batch, and you get a nice flavorful pumpkin taste. It doesn't taste fake like Shipyard Pumpkinhead, and is a nice, well balanced beer. I'd definitely recommend picking this up if you get the chance.

91/100
$2.59/bottle
