Apricot Gose - Sour Ale Brewed with Apricot (4.6% abv)
Kent Falls Brewing Co. (Kent, CT)
$5.99 for 16.9oz (Purchased at Fort Point Market)
Pronunciation: “Goes-uh"
A slightly hazy off-yellow beer with no head. Honestly smells more like a Chardonnay than a beer (white grape, peach/ apricot, and white cranberry juice come to mind). It tastes exactly as I hoped...a classic gose that’s light, lemony, slightly sour with a finish that’s just a tiny bit salty right before the apricot comes in at the end. Big fan of this beer. I’d recommend to anyone who likes this genre of sour beers. Even if you don’t like beer but you like white wine, give this a shot.
